Consulting Services
A lot of greening on a production can happen in house if crew members are inclined, and departments are staffed to be able handle the extra work. But so many times the latter is not the case. That’s where Holly can come in and help. A green filmmaking consultant is a non union vendor type relationship that can cost you far less than having union members doing the work. Holly is also really skilled at setting up systems that streamline the amount of time that union members put into tasks that green, thus saving money. We understand and cater to the “culture of now” which is production and are always available to hussle to that last minute request.
Some tools we can provide you with:
Diversion Reports: keeping up with the numbers of material renewed and carbon reduction along the way is a hugely motivating tool for the crew to understand the impacts of their efforts. These numbers are also a great tool and positive PR for film companies highlighting their efforts to produce more lightly.
Eco Crew Gifts that Keep Greening: let us connect you with the most affordable crew gifts that act as tools on your production and into the future to reduce the carbon usage of crew members on your show and beyond.
Sourcing Locally: Buying locally is a much greener choice than shipping in products from afar. Dollars spent locally are turned over again and again in a community. Choosing to buy green and local strengthens the local economy and increases the availability of greener products and services in the production zone. GPR has a long list of local business with greener options available to productions. Call us for a book of menus from local restaurants using local foods, compostable to go ware, recycling their waste oil into bio fuels and composting their food waste. Ordering office lunches from these greener restaurants is a great and easy way to reduce your carbon usage.
Have a Green Wrap: GPR can help you repurpose odd items that might otherwise get tossed. Santa Fe has a thriving art community that will generally step up to reuse a set piece or dressing in a found art sculpture for example. Our partnering organization Sets for Pets uses construction waste to build dog houses for pups going without shelter in neighboring rural areas.
Carbon Cost Ticker (a sobering reality check on the consequence of “business as usual.”)
